We founded Tack with the idea to digitize money transfers that commonly rely on cash. We started this journey back in 2018 when Alexander was on his honeymoon and ran out of cash to tip all of the various service associates he interacted with. As we interviewed various stakeholders throughout the industry over the next two years, it increasingly became apparent that digital payments, while revolutionizing other part of the economy, had not yet reached the hospitality industry. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the decline among cash tips through the hospitality sector, leaving workers without a vital source of income and businesses without a vital piece of feedback. We are so excited to able to provide an innovative technology platform that brings the hospitality industry up, creating happy experiences and appreciated service associates, during an incredibly difficult time
